About our Vinegars

Reducing food waste

This is an original recipe from Quinta Mourisca, created to give a new purpose to the surplus of our jam production, transforming it into an innovative and sustainable product.

Origin of the fruit

We use fruit from our own farm and from neighboring producers, our partners, reinforcing our commitment to the local community and valuing the region's resources.

Recipe ingredients

As a byproduct of our jams, this fruit seasoning retains the jam's natural sugar and includes a small amount of white wine vinegar, which helps preserve it.

Taste experience

This fruit seasoning, similar in profile to balsamic vinegar, originates as a byproduct of our jams. It combines the sweetness of the fruit with a mild acidity, more subtle than that of a traditional wine vinegar.

How to use it in the kitchen

The possibilities for use are vast: it enhances salads, complements cheeses, and can even be used in cocktails. Depending on the flavor chosen, creativity is the only limit.

Sustainability on the Farm

Working directly with the land implies an increased responsibility: in how we care for olive groves and orchards, in water management, and in the constant concern of reducing food waste.
