Our story began with olive oil, and it is to the olive oils of the Trás-os-Montes region that we continue to dedicate ourselves.

Olives from Trás-os-Montes

ORIGIN

Quinta Mourisca olive oil comes from our organic olive trees, grown in the olive groves of the village of Agrobom, in the heart of the Terra Quente region of Trás-os-Montes.

TRADITIONAL

For generations we have extracted this precious liquid, preserving traditional methods and respecting the natural cycle of the earth.

Without irrigation or intensive methods, the olive oils from the farm reflect our care and experience.

Olive branch

We believe in sustainable agriculture that spans centuries: without pesticides or artificial fertilizers , only the manure from our sheep that roam the olive groves, nourishing the soil naturally.

SELECTION

Each harvest is designed to create unique experiences: small selections of different olive varieties, harvested at carefully chosen stages of ripeness.

OLIVE OILS

The selection of single-varietal and blended olive oils, both green and mature, from Quinta Mourisca transforms the simple act of seasoning into a discovery of intense aromas.

PRODUCTION

Biological

Our olive groves are certified organic, and so is the olive oil we extract from them. We rely on the help of our flock of Churra Badana sheep – a breed from Trás-os-Montes – which fertilize the land and contribute to soil health.

Non-Intensive

The landscape of Trás-os-Montes is full of traditional olive groves, whose preservation is increasingly important. At Quinta Mourisca, we maintain a non-intensive, rainfed production that respects the rhythms of nature.

Olives from Trás-os-Montes

The terroir of Trás-os-Montes is our inspiration, and that's why our olive oils are produced only with varieties from the region: Cobrançosa, Madural, Verdeal and Negrinha do Freixo.

Cold

All olive oils from Quinta Mourisca are extra virgin, therefore they are cold-pressed. The result is true olive juice.

Olive press

The olives are harvested from our olive groves and taken to the Chacim olive press, about 15 minutes from the Quinta. By 2026, we will have our own olive press in operation on the farm.

Small Harvests

We focus on producing small harvests, between 300 L and 1500 L. The goal is to create genuine tasting experiences with our olive oils.
